Your tasks:
- Work alongside clients to establish engineering requirements and assess potential structural solutions.
- Conduct early-stage and conceptual sizing calculations for aircraft components.
- Perform stress and fatigue assessments to meet certification standards for airframe designs.
- Use Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software (Nastran) to perform simulations and extract internal loads.
- Execute traditional hand calculations based on recognized industry methods (Bruhn, Niu, Roark, ESDU).
- Draft, review, and validate technical stress documentation, including reports, engineering drawings, and deliverables.
- Innovate and validate new stress analysis approaches.
- Prepare reports for certification, outline test strategies, and validate design schematics.
Your profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, with a focus on Aeronautical, Mechanical or similar
- At least 4 years of practical experience in structural stress analysis within the aerospace sector.
- Experience in structural repair design
- Proficiency in Nastran and Hyperworks
- Good organizational skills
- Fluent English
- German would be a plus
